about

The music on this album is different, very different. I believe that I can safely say that you will not have heard anything quite like it before. Those of you who may already be familiar with my name may remember me mostly for my work with the notorious Texas punk band Stick Men With Ray Guns (SMWRG). I have been interested in improvisational music for a very long time, having toyed with an early version of these ideas while SMWRG was on hiatus during most of 1987. Due largely to my hazy ideas and execution, that attempt was unsuccessful.

After moving to the musical wastelands of south Florida, and many musically inactive years, I have returned again to that idea with a clearer vision. Hear Us Through the Hole in Thin Air is the result of that solo exploration. I hope that you like it, but as long as I do, that is enough for me. I hit the ripe old age of 70 in September 2020, so I figure it is time to put this out there for for the world to judge. Please see the Information Insert PDF for more technical information about how this album was made.

This album also showcases my ongoing interest in the work of writer William S. Burroughs. Often impenetrable, his writing never fails to offer up unforgettable images and ideas. His ideas permeate this music more than any other influences.
